The 1980s. Undisguised motorcycles. An attitude that made you feel different from everyone else. Introducing Concept-X. Following the simple but aggressive style of the time, this helmet comes from the heart of the research and development department of Arai. They loved the look, but it was. Now the Arai technicians want an old school cool look that matches their style and motorcycles. But they want coolness with modern Arai performance.
The robust simplicity of the Concept-X is the product of imagination. But don't draw the wrong conclusions. The retro style may attract attention, but it had to pass Arai's strict internal tests. Consequently, under the aggressive look is a strong, lightweight PB e-cLc shell with a smooth and round shape, which is reinforced with the Arai developed peripheral belt in order to be able to slide over surfaces and bounce off obstacles. The VAS-VC sighting system with its mechanical retro look further improves visual performance by lowering the sighting pivot point to maximize a smooth upper shell.
The Concept-X's slim outer shell holds a secret: the internal ventilation system of Arai. Cooling air is passed through the eyebrow-level vent slots of the visor, passed through the comfort liner and three top vent holes, and passed to the outside via a concealed, multi-stage air channel within the EPS liner through the vacuum generated by the combined venturi effect of the side outlet openings and the neck vent. Six netted slots can be closed at the front to prevent fogging and opened for air supply.
